| The graceful palms against the rose flushed sky | B |
| Showed gemmed with dew drops and red poppies glowed | C |
| Through the rank grass near by | B |

| All hushed the air was rapt and clear and still | D |
| The earth late racked with pain | E |
| Felt it's insensate form with rapture thrill | D |
| And hope was born again | F |

| But in that garden there was silence deep | G |
| All nature waited till a ringing cry | B |
| 'Rabboni Master ' cleft the dewey air | H |
| And swift the listening sky | B |

| Flashed into splendour and the sun leaped up | I |
| And all creation thrilled with joy new born | J |
| Hailing Our risen Lord with ectasy | K |
| On that first Easter morn | J |
