Afterglow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GCHC

A magic wrought of dying dreamsA
A wizard light that creeps and glowsB
Painting grey hills and sluggish streamsA
In tints of gold and roseB
-
Staining with fire the cherry snowC
Lighting our hearts with sudden flameD
As if the love of long agoC
Back from its ashes cameD
-
Rose flushed and radiant everythingE
And joy and hope are born anewF
Even the darting swallow's wingE
Has caught its glowing hueF
-
Ah swift it dies from hill and plainG
Be wise dear heart and let me goC
Not love that lit our hearts againH
Only it's afterglowC
