Three Faces Iii. Venice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB BAB ABAB

Out of the dark pure twilight where the streamA
Flows glimmering streaked by many a birdlike barkB
That skims the gloom whence towers and bridges gleamA
Out of the darkB
-
Once more a face no glance might choose but markB
Shone pale and bright with eyes whose deep slow beamA
Made quick the twilight lifeless else and starkB
-
The same it seemed or mystery made it seemA
As those before beholden but St MarkB
Ruled here the ways that showed it like a dreamA
Out of the darkB
