Ave Atque Vale: 12 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDEFFFF

But by no hand nor any treason strickenA
Not like the low lying head of Him the KingB
The flame that made of Troy a ruinous thingB
Thou liest and on this dust no tears could quickenA
There fall no tears like theirs that all men hearC
Fall tear by sweet imperishable tearD
Down the opening leaves of holy poets' pagesE
Thee not Orestes not Electra mournsF
But bending us ward with memorial urnsF
The most high Muses that fulfil all agesF
Weep and our God's heart yearnsF
