Ave Atque Vale: 09 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDEEDE

Thou art far too far for wings of words to followA
Far too far off for thought or any prayerB
What ails us with thee who art wind and airB
What ails us gazing where all seen is hollowA
Yet with some fancy yet with some desireC
Dreams pursue death as winds a flying fireC
Our dreams pursue our dead and do not findD
Still and more swift than they the thin flame fliesE
The low light fails us in elusive skiesE
Still the foiled earnest ear is deaf and blindD
Are still the eluded eyesE
