Summer Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD ED FD GD HIJD

Now sleeps the crimson petal now the whiteA
Nor waves the cypress in the palace walkB
Nor winks the gold fin in the porphyry fontC
The firefly wakens waken thou with meD
-
Now droops the milk white peacock like a ghostE
And like a ghost she glimmers on to meD
-
Now lies the Earth all Dana euml to the starsF
And all thy heart lies open unto meD
-
Now slides the silent meteor on and leavesG
A shining furrow as thy thoughts in meD
-
Now folds the lily all her sweetness upH
And slips into the bosom of the lakeI
So fold thyself my dearest thou and slipJ
Into my bosom and be lost in meD
