Crossing The Bar Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GAGA

Sunset and evening starA
And one clear call for meB
And may there be no moaning of the barA
When I put out to seaB
-
But such a tide as moving seems asleepC
Too full for sound and foamD
When that which drew from out the boundless deepC
Turns again homeD
-
Twilight and evening bellE
And after that the darkF
And may there be no sadness of farewellE
When I embarkF
-
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and PlaceG
The flood may bear me farA
I hope to see my Pilot face to faceG
When I have crost the barA
