A Dedication Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLM

DEAR near and true no truer Time himselfA
Can prove you tho' he make you evermoreB
Dearer and nearer as the rapid of lifeC
Shoots to the fall take this and pray that heD
Who wrote it honoring your sweet faith in himE
May trust himself and spite of praise and scornF
As one who feels the immeasurable worldG
Attain the wise indifference of the wiseH
And after Autumn past if left to passI
His autumn into seeming leafless daysJ
Draw toward the long frost and longest nightK
Wearing his wisdom lightly like the fruitL
Which in our winter woodland looks a flowerM
