Spring Morning Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG HGHG IGIG JKJK

Star and coronal and bellA
April underfoot renewsB
And the hope of man as wellA
Flowers among the morning dewsB
-
Now the old come out to lookC
Winter past and winter's painsD
How the sky in pool and brookC
Glitters on the grassy plainsD
-
Easily the gentle airE
Wafts the turning season onF
Things to comfort them are thereE
Though 'tis true the best are goneG
-
Now the scorned unlucky ladH
Rousing from his pillow gnawnG
Mans his heart and deep and gladH
Drinks the valiant air of dawnG
-
Half the night he longed to dieI
Now are sown on hill and plainG
Pleasures worth his while to tryI
Ere he longs to die againG
-
Blue the sky from east to westJ
Arches and the world is wideK
Though the girl he loves the bestJ
Rouses from another's sideK
