Poems From "a Shropshire Lad" - Xv Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEGHIHI

Look not in my eyes for fearA
They mirror true the sight I seeB
And there you find your face too clearA
And love it and be lost like meB
One the long nights through must lieC
Spent in star defeated sighsD
But why should you as well as IC
Perish gaze not in my eyesD
-
A Grecian lad as I hear tellE
One that many loved in vainF
Looked into a forest wellE
And never looked away againG
There when the turf in springtime flowersH
With downward eye and gazes sadI
Stands amid the glancing showersH
A jonquil not a Grecian ladI
