Bring, In This Timeless Grave To Throw Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE FFBBGGHIJJKK

Bring in this timeless grave to throwA
No cypress sombre on the snowA
Snap not from the bitter yewB
His leaves that live December throughB
Break no rosemary bright with rimeC
And sparkling to the cruel climeC
Nor plod the winter land to lookD
For willows in the icy brookD
To cast them leafless round him bringE
No spray that ever buds in springE
-
But if the Christmas field has keptF
Awns the last gleaner oversteptF
Or shrivelled flax whose flower is blueB
A single season never twoB
Or if one haulm whose year is o'erG
Shivers on the upland froreG
Oh bring from hill and stream and plainH
Whatever will not flower againI
To give him comfort he and thoseJ
Shall bide eternal bedfellowsJ
Where low upon the couch he liesK
Whence he never shall ariseK
