When In The Long-drawn Avenues Of Thought Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

When in the long drawn avenues of ThoughtA
I halt and look before me and behindB
And seek what erst I all too little soughtA
Some spot secure of rest I do not findB
Retrace my steps I dare not lest each nookC
I late rejected should reject me nowD
And sweetest arbours restlessly forsookC
No more be prone their leafage to allowD
So to the untrod distance do I strainE
Which seemeth ever further to extendF
Desiring oft in irritable painE
Premature sleep would bring that settled EndF
When I shall know it all or else forgetG
This far too little which for more doth fretG
