The Golden Year! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDABAB EBEBFGHGEBEB IGIGJKJKIGIG LMLMBDBDD DM

When piped the love warm throstle shrillA
And all the air was ladenB
With scent of dew and daffodilA
I saw a youth and maidenB
Whose colour Spring like came and fledC
'Mong purple copses strayingD
While birchen tassels overheadC
Like marriage bells kept swayingD
Filled with that joy that lingers stillA
Which Eve brought out of AidenB
With scent of dew and daffodilA
When all the air was ladenB
-
When primrose banks turn pale and fadeE
And meads wax deep and goldenB
And in lush dale and laughing gladeE
Summer's gay Court is holdenB
Them nestling close again I sawF
Affianced girl and loverG
She looking up with eyes of aweH
To burning gaze above herG
Playing anew the part oft playedE
Sung by the poets oldenB
When primrose banks turn pale and fadeE
And meads wax deep and goldenB
-
When autumn woods began to glowI
And autumn sprays to shiverG
Once more I saw them walking slowI
By sedgy rustling riverG
The season's flush was on her cheekJ
The season's sadness o'er himK
He stroked her hand and bade her speakJ
Of all the love she bore himK
That only made her tears to flowI
And chill his heart to quiverG
While autumn woods began to glowI
And autumn sprays to shiverG
-
When winter fields stretched stiff and starkL
And wintry winds shrilled eerieM
I saw him creep alone at darkL
Into the churchyard drearyM
He laid him down against the stoneB
'Neath which she aye lay sleepingD
Kissed its cold face with many a moanB
Then loudly fell a weepingD
Oh let me in from lonely carkD
Or come thou back my dearie ''-
But the wintry fields stretched stiff and starkD
And the wintry winds shrilled eerieM
