Shepherd Swains That Feed Your Flocks Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGCH

Shepherd swains that feed your flocksA
'Mong the grassy rooted rocksA
While I still see sun and moonB
Grant to me this simple boonB
As I sit on craggy seatC
And your kids and young lambs bleatC
Let who on the pierced pipe blowsD
Play the sweetest air he knowsD
And when I no more shall hearE
Grasshopper or chanticleerE
Strew green bay and yellow broomF
On the silence of my tombF
And still giving as you gaveG
Milk a she goat at my graveG
For though life and joy be fledC
Dear are love gifts to the dead 'H
