Madonna Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABA CDCDC EFEFE GHGHG

Let me calm face remainA
For ever in these sweet sequestered nooksB
Remote from painA
Where leafy laurustinus overlooksB
The blue abounding mainA
-
Ne'er will I crave I vowC
Your loveliness despite that we may standD
More nigh than nowC
You with the fresh plucked roses in your handD
And I with inclined browC
-
With air and sea and skyE
And penetrative music on the beachF
All that is highE
And far and holy and beyond our reachF
I you identifyE
-
Then lady let me stayG
Here where no storm nor surge of discontentH
Can find its wayG
Hearkening your holy admonitions blentH
With murmurs from the bayG
