A Twilight Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF CGCGAA

Why rapturous bird though shades of nightA
Muffle the leaves and swathe the lawnB
Singest thou still with all thy mightA
As though 'twere noon as though 'twere dawnB
Silence darkens on vale and hillC
But thou unseen art singing stillC
-
'Tis because though in dusky bowerD
With love delighted still thou artE
Nor hath the deepening twilight powerD
To lay a curfew on thy heartE
Thou lovest and loving dost prolongF
The sense of sunlight with thy songF
-
Thus may love's rapture haunt me stillC
When life's full radiance fadeth slowG
Along the faltering west and fillC
With melody my afterglowG
And something of Song's morning mightA
Linger to make you doubt 'tis nightA
