A Meeting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDDCDC

Queen widowed Mother of a widowed childA
Whose ancient sorrow goeth forth to meetB
Her new born sorrow with parental feetB
And tearful eyes that oft on hers have smiledA
Will not your generous heart be now beguiledA
From its too lonely anguish as You greetB
Her anguish yet more cruel and completeB
And through her woe with woe be reconciledA
Or if this may not be and all the yearsC
Of love's bereavement be withal too briefD
To bring slow solace to still lengthening griefD
For loss of One whom distance but endearsC
Surely to Both will come some sad reliefD
Sharing the comfort of commingled tearsC
