To Natasha Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFGHIIJJ KLMLNNOP

The crimson summer now grows paleA
Clear bright days now soar awayB
Hazy mist spreads through the valeA
As the sleeping night turns grayB
The barren cornfields lose their goldC
The lively stream has now turned coldC
The curly woods are gray and starkD
And the heavens have grown darkD
-
Where are you my light NatashaE
No one's seen you I lamentF
Don't you want to share the passionG
Of this moment with a friendH
You have not yet met with meI
By the pond or by our treeI
Though the season has turned lateJ
We have not yet had a dateJ
-
Winter s cold will soon arriveK
Fields will freeze with frost so bitterL
In the smoky shack a lightM
Soon enough will shine and glitterL
I won't see my love I'll rageN
Like a finch inside a cageN
And at home depressed and dazedO
I ll recall Natasha's graceP
