The Vision Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEEGHGIJKJCBLB LJKJ

I remember a marvellous instantA
Unto me bending down from aboveB
Thy radiant vision appearingC
As an angel of beauty and loveB
'Mid the torments of desperate sadnessD
In the torture of bondage and sighsE
To me rang thy voice so belovedF
And I dreamed thy miraculous eyesE
But the years rolled along and life's tempestsE
My illusions my youth overcameG
I forgot that sweet voice full of musicH
And thy glance like a heavenly flameG
In the covert and grief of my exileI
The days stretched unchanged in their flightJ
Bereft inspiration or powerK
Bereft both of love and of lightJ
To my soul now approaches awakeningC
To me thou art come from aboveB
As a radiant and wonderful visionL
As an angel of beauty and loveB
As before my heart throbs with emotionL
Life looks to me worthy and brightJ
And I feel inspiration and powerK
And again love and tears and the lightJ
