Tempest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDAEAE

You saw perched on a cliff a maidA
Her raiment white above the breakersB
When the mad sea reared up and playedA
Its whips of spray on coastal acresB
And now and then the lightnings flushC
And purple gleams upon her hoverD
And fluttering up in swirling rushC
The wind rides in her airy coverD
Fair is the sea in gales arrayedA
The heavens drained of blue and flashingE
But fairer on her cliff the maidA
Than storms and skies and breakers crashingE
