I Love Thee Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE D FGBEHIBJ

I loved thee and perchance until this momentA
Within my breast is smouldering still the fireB
Yet I would spare thy pain the least renewalC
Nothing shall rouse again the old desireB
-
I loved thee with a silent desperationD
Now timid now with jealousy brought lowE
I loved devoutly with such deep devotionD
Ah may God grant another love thee soE
-
-
Another TranslationD
-
I loved you once perhaps that love has yetF
To die down thoroughly within my soulG
But let it not dismay you any longerB
I have no wish to cause you any sorrowE
I loved you wordlessly without a hopeH
By shyness tortured or by jealousyI
I loved you with such tenderness and candorB
And pray God grants you to be loved that way againJ
