Rose maiden no I do not quarrelA
With these dear chains they don't demeanB
The nightingale embushed in laurelA
The sylvan singers' feathered queenB
Does she not bear the same sweet plightC
Near the proud rose's beauty dwellingD
And with her tender anthems thrillingD
The dusk of a voluptuous nightC
