Day's Rain Is Done Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCDDEFEEGBBBH IJ K

Day's rain is done The rainy mist of nightA
Spreads on the sky leaden apparel wearingB
And through the pine trees like a ghost appearingB
The moon comes up with hidden lightA
All in my soul drags me to dark surrenderC
There far away rises the moon in splendourC
There all the air is drunk with evening heatD
There move the waters in a sumptuous heatD
And overhead the azure skiesE
It is the hour From high hills she has goneF
To sea shores flooding in the waves' loud criesE
There where the holy cliffs ariseE
Now she sits melancholy and aloneG
Alone Before her none is weeping frettingB
None on his knees is kissing her forgettingB
Alone To no one's lips is she betrayingB
Her shoulders her wet lips her snow white bosomH
-
No one is worthy of her heavenly loveI
'Tis true Alone You weep I do not moveJ
-
Yet ifK
