Arion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCBDEDBFFGHHG

A lot of us were on the barkA
Some framed a sail for windy weatherB
The others strongly and togetherB
Moved oars In silence sunkC
Keeping a rudder strong and cleverB
The skipper drove the heavy skiffD
And I with careless beliefE
I sang for sailors But the stiffD
Whirl smashed at once the waters' favorB
All dead the captain and his guardF
But I the enigmatic bardF
Was thrown to the shore aloneG
I sing the former anthems yetH
And dry my mantle torn and wetH
In beams of sun under a stoneG
