The Cooling Cloudburst Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCB DEFFE GHIIH JKLLK MNOON

As lightning brights the meadowA
And thunder dulls the airB
I feel it stillC
A stormy chillC
An aura everywhereB
-
I wander o'er the pathwayD
And paddle through the rainE
My bootheels squashF
The squelchy washF
Along the puddled laneE
-
My face refreshed with teardropsG
The clouds have wept from highH
They gently wetI
My eyes and yetI
They barely seem to cryH
-
I dance on midst the moistureJ
The hail sends down to earthK
I sense the beatL
Beneath my feetL
And sing for all I'm worthK
-
But then the fulgid sunlightM
Warms the land once moreN
I'm home to youO
As I step throughO
A rainbow's archwayed doorN
