| My bootheels squash | F |
| The squelchy wash | F |

| The clouds have wept from high | H |

| My eyes and yet | I |
| They barely seem to cry | H |

| The hail sends down to earth | K |

| Beneath my feet | L |
| And sing for all I'm worth | K |
