| It was then I was swayed by a maudlin charade | F |
| Much more than I care to admit | E |

| How demons evoke when we met by the oak | G |
| Blaze whispered and purred in our ears | H |
| I think of it yet during evening's onset | I |
| It has stayed with me down through the years | H |

| Then time scurried by and so you and I | J |
| Were mislaid in a blizzard so cold | K |
| Where time is the thief of forbidden belief | L |
| And sombre remorses grow old | K |

| Yet today I don't mind of the times when I find | M |
| Reflections bear all that remain | N |
| I know that alas ten winters could pass | O |
| Before I may go there again | P |
