Reflections Of Grandad Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB ADED AFGF AHIH AJKJ

If grandad really loved meA
He told me so he saidB
He recited scary storiesC
As I lay in my bedB
-
He lit the fire that warmed meA
And kept it burning brightD
It gave me cheer throughout the dayE
And comfort through the nightD
-
He shared my weekend tea with meA
We two a jolly teamF
Pouring out the ginger beerG
And serving cakes and creamF
-
His cleverness he lent to meA
And showed me what to doH
He taught me how to spell my nameI
Keep my own council tooH
-
But grandad never told meA
And I could ne'er perceiveJ
If grandad really loved me soK
Why then did he leaveJ
