Midnight Inside My Head Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACA DEDFD GHGIG GJGKG AEALA

The hour boldly strikes midnight inside my headA
I have already endured the long and thoughtful dayB
I am courting precious ambitions of sleep and bedA
But there remain still things for me to doC
So many untitled pages are left unread unsaidA
-
It's night time within and so very darkD
I wonder if I am truly able to seeE
But inside my head I detect a forlorn sparkD
Distant sure but just bright enoughF
It's an uncertain voyage on which my ideations embarkD
-
I see before me a further adventurous day loomingG
Awaiting the daylight which is no longer hereH
I think of my existence my thoughts consumingG
And devouring these ideas until it has nourished its fillI
Clouds of conceptions or misconceptions are forever plumingG
-
As I live and breathe in order to stagger alongG
I stumble blindly through this darkness of mineJ
I have grown weak now but my mind stays strongG
I am conscious of all the tasks I must performK
And place things in the order in which they belongG
-
I longingly look forward to the morning's golden threadA
Birds will sweetly sing and the sun will illuminate meE
All my words are now coloured over with blue and redA
But tomorrow a new day is born and I will remember themL
Though for now maybe for ever it's still midnight inside my headA
