I Wonder What You Look Like Now Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACA DEDFD GHGIG JKJLJ MNMOM

I reflect on what you look like nowA
You were beauteous when I saw you lastB
What precious gifts did time endowA
All those years of tranquil absenceC
As you slumbered away the time somehowA
-
I wonder if your eyes remain brightD
They always looked at me kindlyE
I think that if you're at home tonightD
I could give you a call perhapsF
Or should I just simply writeD
-
I expect that you smile as you always couldG
Intriguing enchanting and toasty warmH
But you smiled for me today I knew you wouldG
In any case I've misplaced your numberI
I must be more careful I know I shouldG
-
Do you think of me perchanceJ
When days are long and nights are coldK
Bestow on me a passing glanceJ
Think of times now far away DistantL
A sombre time a valedictory happenchanceJ
-
I should visit but what's to gainM
To see now how you areN
It could easily even cause you painM
I would come soon now todayO
But outside it looks like rainM
