I Wish I Was The Wizard Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH IDIDJKJK LMIMNONO PQPQRSRS QDQDTUVU WXWXADAD

I wish I was a tin manA
Out there cutting woodB
I'd rely upon the lube canA
To keep my elbows goodB
All day I'd task and toilC
Until it's time for teaD
And then I'd take a squirt of oilC
To keep my knee joints freeD
-
I'd dream about a girlfriendE
My dreams then turn to dustF
I comprehend at daytime's endE
I'm just a heap of rustF
I'll never find a maid of tinG
It's tearing me apartH
As when I search my soul withinG
I find I have no heartH
-
I wish I was a scarecrowI
Out living in a leaD
But all the critters there thoughI
Just jest and laugh at meD
I stand about with outspread armsJ
Scaring off the birdsK
I'm seldom heard around the farmsJ
I'm always lost for wordsK
-
I dream about a girl of strawL
Lithe enough to squeezeM
My dreams then turn to chaff and soI
They blow off in the breezeM
I'll never get a spouse of hayN
My dreams swill down the drainO
I wouldn't know just what to sayN
I haven't got a brainO
-
I wish I was a lion braveP
Roaring mighty roarsQ
Seeing off my foes to saveP
The world from mighty warsQ
I'd spend my time a prowlingR
Vaunting round with prideS
Snarling and a growlingR
But all I do is hideS
-
I wish I had a lionessQ
To hunt and ply for meD
But that will never be I guessQ
I'm cowardly you seeD
I have no courage for to askT
A feline for a dateU
I have no luck I have no pluckV
I'll never find a mateU
-
So I wish I was the wizardW
To save me from the stormX
My life is such a blizzardW
But who will keep me warmX
I long to be a magic manA
The future I'd foreseeD
But then again a better planA
I'd rather just be meD
