Daunted Day Musings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDAD EFEFGHGH IJIKLMLM

In every life some rain must fallA
Though wherefrom heaven knowsB
With passing years the storm may callA
The tempest comes and goesB
The day could see a cloudburst hailC
To soak you through and throughD
Yet silver raindrops deftly fallA
To bathe away the blueD
-
As thunder quakes the path of lifeE
Like cannons in the skyF
And lightning cutting like a knifeE
An electric charge on highF
When icy drops sleet all aboutG
And crisis canters nearH
Then windy blows that scream and shoutG
Bombard the soul with fearH
-
So now I'm old though seldom sadI
I think of days long goneJ
I smile about the good and badI
And savour every oneK
Although the darkened clouds may driftL
And bluster out their rainsM
I still salute a special giftL
The sunshine here remainsM
