To soak you through and through | D |
Yet silver raindrops deftly fall | A |
To bathe away the blue | D |
- | |
As thunder quakes the path of life | E |
Like cannons in the sky | F |
And lightning cutting like a knife | E |
An electric charge on high | F |
When icy drops sleet all about | G |
And crisis canters near | H |
Then windy blows that scream and shout | G |
Bombard the soul with fear | H |
- | |
So now I'm old though seldom sad | I |
I think of days long gone | J |
I smile about the good and bad | I |
And savour every one | K |
Although the darkened clouds may drift | L |
And bluster out their rains | M |
I still salute a special gift | L |
The sunshine here remains | M |
