Spilling from on high | B |
Which once would fall about my head | C |
But now my head is dry | B |
Where have all the snowflakes gone | A |
Ambling down from space | D |
Shivering in the winter wild | E |
And melting on my face | D |
- | |
Where have all the rivers gone | A |
Dashing to and fro | F |
They once would splash across the land | G |
As seaward they would go | F |
Where have all the oceans gone | A |
To crash against the shore | H |
All that's left is salted sand | G |
Upon a seabed floor | H |
- | |
Where have all the rainbows gone | A |
They lighted up the days | I |
They once would bow and bend and reach | J |
So far the eye could gaze | I |
Where have all the sundrops gone | A |
To energise the rain | K |
Absent now without a trace | D |
And never seen again | L |
- | |
And where have all my brothers gone | A |
Each walked the earth with me | M |
O'er moor and mountain here and there | N |
From clifftop to the sea | M |
And where have all my sisters gone | A |
And all the loves I've known | O |
Disappeared just like the rain | K |
So now I'm left alone | O |
