Lines And Squares Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAABBB CCDDBBEEBB

Whenever I walk in a London streetA
I'm ever so careful to watch my feetA
And I keep in the squaresB
And the masses of bearsB
Who wait at the corners all ready to eatA
The sillies who tread on the lines of the streetA
Go back to their lairsB
And I say to them BearsB
Just look how I'm walking in all the squaresB
-
And the little bears growl to each other He's mineC
As soon as he's silly and steps on a lineC
And some of the bigger bears try to pretendD
That they came round the corner to look for a friendD
And they try to pretend that nobody caresB
Whether you walk on the lines or squaresB
But only the sillies believe their talkE
It's ever so portant how you walkE
And it's ever so jolly to call out BearsB
Just watch me walking in all the squaresB
