Owe your ownA
And leave mine for meB
My woe do not scornC
Just cause speech is freeB
You've got yours to sayD
I have got my debts to payD
-
Who's that break by trickE
What another man has builtF
To raise up his own brickE
The owner is who it best suitG
If i'm wise what could be solutionsH
In satisfying men's fascinationsH
-
Allow my mouth to talk onI
What it is up in my headJ
How would you abandonK
Yours to say what's not saidJ
Eyes will see Mouths will sayH
Dont tell me to get out of the wayH
-
Life's the living we all findL
Who had his brother wants doneK
Yet would leave his own behindL
Owe your ownA
But leave mine for meB
For speech is man's innocencyH
-
Witty words are not for diariesH
It's the last men will do and dieM
My worries and yours variesH
Who's walking and staring the skyM
Do any knows things in yondersH
We only can make more blundersH
-
Show me a bird who never chirlN
Show me the lips that never lieN
Show me a saint who never willN
Only goats chew down theirs in tieN
Say the things you seeH
But leave mine for meH
