Grandma's Story Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEFG HHEEIIGG JJKLMMGG

In the s when i was bornA
In a log house old as the sunB
Africa was as small hut by a shoreC
You could trek it through in an hourD
Many were years down the drainE
I was once mad a pampered bairnE
And would not followed simple recipesF
I later burnt my lungs smoking pipesG
-
God had made door for that dayH
As a maid's fluid for a baby's wayH
Then I was just old as fourteenE
There's a christmas i cannot cleanE
Off my memory It was a big routI
I will tell you all what it was aboutI
My father drinking down his cold bocksG
Asked me to kill one of his grown cocksG
-
He gave to me a flashing knifeJ
And said 'It's time to take his lifeJ
To become soup cut his head offK
And I will have for myself his bough''L
Caught with fear at a capon detachedM
He escaped withno his head attachedM
Running and suffering death and oddsG
Spraying all of the place with bloodsG
