Rhyme Scheme: ABABBBCCDBDBBBBBBEBE FGHIJJIf I was born about centuries ago | A |
With vulgar voice and full puissance | B |
Of beastial gallantry that laughs at woe | A |
As who strangles dragons by their tongues | B |
and throttled aleviathan with his manes | B |
Fought hades and executed its banes | B |
I shall lift my head yonder sky | C |
Curse God and die | C |
I know he shall summon me of this sin | D |
Stay and give ears to his alibis | B |
To be sure whoso that lose or win | D |
Inquires him of what your demise is | B |
He prove to me why spares the worse | B |
And good men taken away by force | B |
The just punished it maybe trity sacredness | B |
Those lacking scruples for their stupidness | B |
I shall ask of nights full of loathing evils | B |
And sweet spring buds falling | E |
By windstorms and unfed weevils | B |
Withering away at first blooming | E |
But if you die withno his wit O brother | F |
And my judgment discarded unanswered | G |
I shall plead my rebellion and repent | H |
Then let men prepare for unbeknown death | I |
Young and old Short and tall | J |
Poor and rich Great and small | J |
