| Nothing but vanity | F |

| for the anxious yet to find | C |
| Over troubled much of the past | C |
| Worrying even about today of we | F |

| for man contented in his heart | C |
| That takes food to his stomach | I |
| And will not store up as a foolish boy | H |
| Knowing all things God will destroy | H |
