Count your wealth plentitude of goldA
The crystals of the sea weigh your jaspersB
The goldsmiths refines them if they are oldA
Buy it from menfolks that sells topazC
But an ideal wife's priceless than allD
Nor can be own with coral of cushE
With precious jewel or onyx mined rawF
Her grace is beyond a flower's lushE
More fairer than emerald and turquoiseG
The rubies of ophir never can compare herH
The cost for her surpasses jades and sapphiresB
Treasures there are An abundance of sliverH
Even ornaments and pearls are as common asC
rockbarsC
Yet an ideal wife is as lofty as yonder starsC

Such as tree is known by its fruitsC
May like the virtuous apple tree of edenI
Yields a blessed kind of sweet fruitsC
As it burns if fire in tent is hiddenI
So she is loudy injudicious An uncultured wifeJ
Like an old patch in a fine garmentK
A tameless wanton weird full of strifeJ
A rod of scorn that strikens spirit with ailmentK
Unmend piercing deep the bones like swordsC
But how wise's an ideal wife wiser than doveL
Which gives her hubby wits healing wordsC
They are friends and he trusts in her loveL
Youre lamp to house of he that marries herH
Who then's wise that he could find herH
