Constantia's Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CCDE FGFG HIII

Time fly with greater speed awayA
Add feathers to thy wingsB
Till thy haste in flying bringsB
That wished for and expected DayA
-
Comfort's Son we then shall seeC
Though at first it darkened beC
With dangers yet those clouds but goneD
Our Day will put his lustre onE
-
Then though Death's sad night appearF
And we in lonely silence restG
Our ravish'd Souls no more shall fearF
But with lasting day be blestG
-
And then no friends can part us moreH
Nor no new death extend its powerI
Thus there's nothing can disseverI
Hearts which Love hath joined togetherI
