Al Masjid Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDC EFAGG HIDJ KKLMM AAAAAA NNNNN AAA AAAOO NNAPQQ

I have never seen a place whose stillness is like the MasjidA
A place for those who seek GodA
This is the place I goB
Where Allah only knowsC
This place is my homeD
Where my heart overflowsC
-
I call it the believers' EdenE
Paradise on Earth it isF
Illuminating souls with its brightness LightA
Glad tidings to the believersG
Of this safe haven thy dwellersG
-
The only place where all are equalH
Whether rich or poorI
Hear the adhan echo through its domeD
Calling to success and prayer in the mornJ
-
Behold the house of Al Mu'minK
The best place to be in this world be it an innK
Unity Peace and all it preaches towards companionshipL
In submission we worshipM
The Controller of Heaven and Earth with in His LordshipM
-
Sacred you are With divinityA
A symbol of strength to the communityA
Full of dhikr that fills the heart with tranquillityA
Soothing the mind with thy serenityA
Even in times of adversityA
You are void of atrocities and immoralityA
-
An abode of greatnessN
How do I describe thy HolinessN
Which prohibits profanenessN
Preserving equality and JusticeN
Open doors that leads to eternal blissN
-
-
-
-
Today our Masjid stands half emptyA
No more a place of plentyA
Yet its ours for free no charge for entryA
-
It doors are open people go insideA
For all are welcome and in peace resideA
I place my head on the groundA
Then raise my hands up to the skyO
For Allah have the answers to all my whyO
-
Just a building you sayN
But more than what you see NayN
A community which defines brotherhoodA
Where no one can will ever feel aloneP
With imperfections we striveQ
Attaining the pleasure of Ar Rabb Our driveQ
