Sonnet To The Moon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD AADD EE

Now every leaf though colorless burns brightA
With disembodied and celestial lightA
And drops without a movement or a soundB
A pillar of darkness to the shifting groundB
-
The lucent thin and alcoholic flameC
Runs in the stubble with a nervous aimC
But when the eye pursues will point with fireD
Each single stubble tip and strain no higherD
-
O triple goddess Contemplate my plightA
Opacity my fate Change my delightA
The yellow tom cat sunk in shifting furD
Changes and dreams a phosphorescent blurD
-
Sullen I wait but still the vision shunE
Bodiless thoughts and thoughtless bodies runE
