Once People Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNMGOPQR STGMUVJGWWWAXLYJGZA2 B2C2D2M A

Once people get under my skinA
they never find the exitB
They romp aroundC
fill my insides with their song and danceD
make lots of noise using my dumbness as their cover upE
I'm full to bursting with wise menF
and fools they've utterly exhausted meG
So much so that my skin'sH
quite worn throughI
by their heels rubbing from insideJ
Give me a chance to breatheK
It's all impossibleL
I'm stuffed to the gillsM
with those who've brought me so much joyN
as well as those who've given most offenceM
What has come over meG
What can I do with this great throngO
stuck in my own small heartP
police are needed to keep order thereQ
I've gone a little crackedR
for there in that secluded shadeS
I've dropped none of the womenT
and none of them's dropped meG
It's awkward to revive dead friendshipsM
however much you tire yourself with tryingU
The only friends I've lostV
were on the outsideJ
but of those inside I've lost nobodyG
All the people in my life I've quarreled withW
or made friends withW
or only shaken hands withW
have merged in a new life under the old one's skinA
a secret conflagration without flameX
The repossession of the unpossessableL
is like a waterfall that rushes upwardY
Those who have diedJ
have been born again in meG
those who have not been born as yetZ
cry outA2
My population is too largeB2
beyond the strength of just one manC2
but then a person would be incompleteD2
if he contained no othersM
