Final Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CDED FGHB BIJK LFBM NOPQ RPST MUPP MMBV WSSX YBZA2

Is it possible that we are so twistedA
there is no salvation for any of usB
and that ideas have become winglessB
in an age of winged rocketsB
-
Is it possible that a crippled birchC
bending over to the last riverD
will see the last manE
in its boiling waterD
-
Is it possible there'll be no Big BenF
Saint Basil's or Notre DameG
and that neutron foam will gushH
over our final stepsB
-
But that planet cherry treesB
birds and children will perishI
I don't believe This disbeliefJ
is my final faithK
-
Skull after skull will notL
be piled up in towers againF
The final Nuremberg approaches usB
before not after the warM
-
And the last soldier on earthN
will throw his shoulder strap in a streamO
and watch how peacefullyP
dragonflies sit on itQ
-
All rascality will endR
All people will understand we are a familyP
The last governmentS
will abolish itselfT
-
The last exploiterM
opening his toothless mouthU
will gobble the last moneyP
furtively like a delicacyP
-
The last cowardly editorM
will be doomed foreverM
to read from the stage in sequenceB
everything that he destroyedV
-
So that the last bureaucratW
can rest and be silentS
his gullet will be stuffed in paymentS
with the last rubber stampX
-
And the earth will turnY
without fear of the last yearsB
there never will be bornZ
the last great poetA2
