Who Fancied What A Pretty Sight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHGHIJ

WHO fancied what a pretty sightA
This Rock would be if edged aroundB
With living snow drops circlet brightA
How glorious to this orchard groundB
Who loved the little Rock and setC
Upon its head this coronetC
-
Was it the humour of a childD
Or rather of some gentle maidE
Whose brows the day that she was styledD
The shepherd queen were thus arrayedE
Of man mature or matron sageF
Or old man toying with his ageF
-
I asked 'twas whispered The deviceG
To each and all might well belongH
It is the Spirit of ParadiseG
That prompts such work a Spirit strongH
That gives to all the self same bentI
Where life is wise and innocentJ
