To Sleep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDDCDD

FOND words have oft been spoken to thee SleepA
And thou hast had thy store of tenderest namesB
The very sweetest Fancy culls or framesB
When thankfulness of heart is strong and deepA
Dear Bosom child we call thee that dost steepA
In rich reward all suffering Balm that tamesB
All anguish Saint that evil thoughts and aimsB
Takest away and into souls dost creepA
Like to a breeze from heaven Shall I aloneC
I surely not a man ungently madeD
Call thee worst Tyrant by which Flesh is crostD
Perverse self willed to own and to disownC
Mere slave of them who never for thee prayedD
Still last to come where thou art wanted mostD
