Tis He Whose Yester-evening's High Disdain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEEFGG

'Tis He whose yester evening's high disdainA
Beat back the roaring storm but how subduedB
His day break note a sad vicissitudeB
Does the hour's drowsy weight his glee restrainA
Or like the nightingale her joyous veinA
Pleased to renounce does this dear Thrush attuneC
His voice to suit the temper of yon MoonC
Doubly depressed setting and in her waneA
Rise tardy Sun and let the Songster proveD
The balance trembling between night and mornE
No longer with what ecstasy upborneE
He can pour forth his spirit In heaven aboveF
And earth below they best can serve true gladnessG
Who meet most feelingly the calls of sadnessG
