Though Narrow Be That Old Man-s Cares . Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBADEDEDE

THOUGH narrow be that old Man's cares and nearA
The poor old Man is greater than he seemsB
For he hath waking empire wide as dreamsB
An ample sovereignty of eye and earC
Rich are his walks with supernatural cheerA
The region of his inner spirit teemsB
With vital sounds and monitory gleamsB
Of high astonishment and pleasing fearA
He the seven birds hath seen that never partD
Seen the SEVEN WHISTLERS in their nightly roundsE
And counted them and oftentimes will startD
For overhead are sweeping GABRIEL'S HOUNDSE
Doomed with their impious Lord the flying HartD
To chase for ever on aerial groundsE
