Those Words Were Uttered As In Pensive Mood Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

THOSE words were uttered as in pensive moodA
We turned departing from that solemn sightB
A contrast and reproach to gross delightB
And life's unspiritual pleasures daily wooedA
But now upon this thought I cannot broodA
It is unstable as a dream of nightB
Nor will I praise a cloud however brightB
Disparaging Man's gifts and proper foodA
Grove isle with every shape of sky built domeC
Though clad in colours beautiful and pureD
Find in the heart of man no natural homeC
The immortal Mind craves objects that endureD
These cleave to it from these it cannot roamC
Nor they from it their fellowship is secureD
