"there!" Said A Stripling, Pointing With Meet Pride Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADEEFGH

There said a Stripling pointing with meet prideA
Towards a low roof with green trees half concealedB
Is Mosgiel Farm and that's the very fieldB
Where Burns ploughed up the Daisy Far and wideA
A plain below stretched seaward while descriedA
Above sea clouds the Peaks of Arran roseC
And by that simple notice the reposeC
Of earth sky sea and air was vivifiedA
Beneath the random 'bield' of clod or stoneD
Myriads of daisies have shone forth in flowerE
Near the lark's nest and in their natural hourE
Have passed away less happy than the OneF
That by the unwilling ploughshare died to proveG
The tender charm of poetry and loveH
