Stepping Westward Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCDDEF GGBBHHII JJBBKKIIAA

What you are stepping westward YeaA
-
'T would be a wildish destinyB
If we who thus together roamC
In a strange land and far from homeC
Were in this place the guests of ChanceD
Yet who would stop or fear to advanceD
Though home or shelter he had noneE
With such a sky to lead him onF
-
The dewy ground was dark and coldG
Behind all gloomy to beholdG
And stepping westward seemed to beB
A kind of heavenly destinyB
I liked the greeting 't was a soundH
Of something without place or boundH
And seemed to give me spiritual rightI
To travel through that region brightI
-
The voice was soft and she who spakeJ
Was walking by her native lakeJ
The salutation had to meB
The very sound of courtesyB
Its power was felt and while my eyeK
Was fixed upon the glowing skyK
The echo of the voice enwroughtI
A human sweetness with the thoughtI
Of travelling through the world that layA
Before me in my endless wayA
